Mother's Day Thoughts | 05.10.2020
by Mariah Kimball
This morning I woke up instantly overwhelmed by motherhood, which is very unlike any other Mother's Day I've had before. Thoughts circling my head like, How can I do this? Am I screwing them up? How can I teach them to be the best wife and mom when I still haven't figured it out? I started making lists of why I am a bad mom and why I am unworthy of their love.
*Emotions are filling my eyes as I write this. Why is it so easy to be so harsh to myself?*
After battling my doubts all morning, I decided to listen to some gospel hymns while I was getting ready for church. I soon was brought to the reality that I AM NOT ALONE IN MOTHERHOOD.
And I need you, wherever you are at, to know,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN MOTHERHOOD.
Raising your children and nurturing their individual hearts is not all on you. We are in an eternal partnership with Him. Your Heavenly Father is by your side every step of the way. I came across a quote from Elder Holland that says, "The very fact that you have been given such a responsibility is everlasting evidence of the trust your Father in Heaven has in you." We are not alone. We will never be alone as we strive to do our best raising our babies along side Him. Let's do our best mamas, and trust Him to do the rest.
Love you all. Thanks for supporting this mama ran business, Happy Mother's Day.
